Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

The diagram below shows an outline of the services Altair SLC Hub uses in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Altair SLC Hub runs as GCP VMs that can be sized according to need and the type of processing required.

A GCP API Gateway routes traffic to the Altair SLC Hub.

Altair SLC Hub uses Cloud SQL to connect to a hosted PostgreSQL to provide storage for the database and Cloud Storage as the Object store for job and pipeline results. Using the platform PostgreSQL database can simplify database backup and might be more cost efficient and stable than using the internal systems.

Shared storage is provided using GCP Filestore.

Altair SLC Hub may connect to the Secure LDAP service or to an external LDAP as required. If you want Altair SLC Hub to send e-mail, it may connect to an e-mail service, either with GCP or externally as required.
